Univeri-*snore*

This will be just a quick entry. I am posting this from one of the hundreds of computer labs at QUT Kelvin Grove, whilst being slightly annoyed. My very first class of the semester was at 8am this morning and was pretty cool. A dance and drama subject, the lecturer, Kym, talked about how dance and drama have a very important place within the curriculum as it can be used to tie in all the other subjects (math, english, science, etc) together in a more interesting manner for the students. But the arts is rarely used by teachers simply because they don't know how to use them as learning experiences. Which is what we will be learning in the subject.
So this morning went well. I knew I had a two hour break before my next tutorial, but when I arrived at the classroom it turned out that tuts for that subject don't start until week six :p
Which means I have another two hours to kill before another subject. It's really very boring at the moment because after only one one hour lecture, I have no work that needs to completed, no readings to be read, and no research to do. Bleeehhhhhhh... Which is why I'm abusing the campus's Internet to check facebook and post this blog entry. I went to hang out at Queer Space but it is completely boxed in. Literally. There are cardboard boxes everywhere. A shirtless bloke told me some renovations were going down, and he was filling about 1000 sample bags for a market day (??????).
Unfortunately, I haven't met anyone yet, but I intend to do so during more tutorials.
I am going to the cafeteria to buy some food for the hell of it soon. Till next time.

The Ancient Lost Relic That Is My Blog

Ho...ly...shit. I have a blog? Since when? It's been four months since my last post here, and for a time I completely forgot about this thing. A lot of stuff has happened in four months. I finished my first year of Uni with a surprisingly unexpected GPA of five (I thought I would do worse). I performed in a theatre restaurant and sung one of my favorite Monty Python songs solo, there are a couple of video clips I put up on youtube, watch at your own risk.
But the most important thing to happen to me over the summer was my first boyfriend. For those of you who haven't yet figured it out, yes, I am gay.
Shaun is still the most beautiful person I have ever met, or likely to meet anytime soon. And even though our relationship was short, it was best time of my life. Unfortunately, we broke up around New Year for reasons between just us. But we are still good friends and hang out.
Lately all I've been doing is working and waiting for the second year of Uni to start, but in the meantime I auditioned for, and got a part in the musical "The Wedding Singer" based on the very funny Adam Sandler movie. I play the part of "Glen," a rich, womanising, prick who is only marrying his girlfriend to keep her interested. I get a brilliantly cool solo and an epic dance, so I am happy.
I intend to post more in-depth (and hopefully more entertaining) posts in the near future so keep an eye out for me :-)
